Ad Specifications
Acceptable Software:
Quark 6.5, InDesign CS2, Photoshop CS2 , Illustrator CS2, MSWord
Supplying Fonts
1) Mac based fonts are preferred
2) Please send both screen and printer fonts
3) We are limited to the Adobe font library
4) Please turn fonts to outlines when supplying .eps or .pdf, print ready files.
Supplying Art
1) We prefer a minimum resolution of 300 and prefer 350.
2) Scanning preprinted materials is not recommended.
3) Bleed: One-quarter inch bleed on the cover and 4/C insert (sheetfed) and three-sixteenths inch on the balance of the body (web).
Preferred File Formats
1) All the major formats are accepted: .pdf, .eps, .jpg, .tif are our most common.
2) We do not have the ability to work with .pub files
3) Save all files in the highest resolution settings available.
4) Art pulled as website graphics are not acceptable
In General:
1) To double check your ad submission for proper color breaks, please print out separations for all 2/C ads. Your two plates should be 100% K and PMS 347 C. Watch for RGB and CMYK logos and images.
2) We try to remain as flexible as possible and accept files created from other applications - we are always happy to preflight a file for you to see if it is print worthy
Supplying Proofs:
1) We recommend supplying color proofs for all 4 color process ads so we understand your expectations on press.
